Margaret & Walker headed to Walterboro, SC last Thursday to spend some much needed time with her family & friends. Her father kindly took a one-way flight into Norfolk Wednesday evening in order to drive her & Walker to SC. This Friday I will be flying to SC and will drive them back on Sunday.
I miss them so much. The house is so quiet...it's just not the same.

Sometimes luck glances my way
As I drove into work this morning I was listening to 92.9 FM (olides station) and I heard them mention a contest where the winner will receive a $125 ticket to Richard Petty's Ride-Along experience. The contest involved them giving you 3 famous first and last names and you had to tell them their middle name which is what they actually go by. You had to be caller 9 so I figured what the heck and started dialing.
I've never won a radio contest before so I knew my chances were slim to none...none being a more likely candidate. I dialed and hung up...dialed and hung up...repeatedly until I finally heard the call go through. Well it rang and rang for well over 5 minutes and I figured it wouldn't hurt to stay on the line until someone answered and told me that the contest was over. That didn't happen because Barry Michaels answers the phone and asks me if I think I have what it takes to win the ticket. I told him that I did and he proceeded with the names:
Keith Murdock ------------> Rupert *First one RIGHT!*
Mary Winger --------------> Debra *Second one RIGHT!*
William Gable ------------> Clark *Third one RIGHT!*
Barry told me that I had won the contest and, of course, I was pretty excited! I was told that I can choose any NASCAR track so of course I'm choosing Richmond International since it's right around the corner (besides, they don't pay for the travel expenses).
I called the station and left Barry a voicemail asking if he can send me the sound byte file of me winning the contest so hopefully that will work out. Anyways, thought I would share the fun start of my day.

Walker has a friend
Jack is the son of Megan & W.J. Walsh. We've lived across the street from them for over a year now and didn't realize until a month or so before Walker was born that they were also due at any time with their pride and joy. We're so thrilled that the boys will acknowledge one another soon.
