Not only can Walker hold his bottle (that he only gets once/day), put his paci back in his mouth, and drink from a sippy cup, now he can give kisses!!! He bestowed the first slobbery open-mouthed one on Daddy's nose, and proceeded to Daddy's forehead. Then he kissed both of Mommy's cheeks, her nose, forehead, and mouth. He also gives great hugs. Every second with him is filled with so much fun and love - parenthood is really incredible.
On the swimming front, we have continued to go at least twice a week and we also went today with Daddy. Walker loved having both of us in the pool with him and he put his face in the water on his own twice. He also went all the way under once, and didn't inhale any water on any of his trips under. Swimming is wonderful exercise for all three of us and it usually exhausts Walker - he has so much fun that he almost always falls asleep in the car on the way home.
Our friend Kelly, whom you may remember from the Halloween post, is scheduled to have Walker's girlfriend on the 27th by C-section. Little Miss Kamper (this is not what they will name her - just her womb name) is a little confused and her head is under Kelly's ribs, so she can't be born the old-fashioned way. We can't wait to meet her and Walker is especially anxious. Please keep Kelly and her husband Patrick in your prayers as they go through the final preparations for the birth of their first-born.
Matt is away on business until Tuesday night, so it's just the two of us. The house is definitely quieter and I already miss him like crazy (he's only been gone an hour and a half). Thankfully I have my little love to keep me company, great friends who will visit, and terrific neighbors in case we need anything at all. Hurry home Daddy!!!!
