New Things Every Day

Not only can Walker hold his bottle (that he only gets once/day), put his paci back in his mouth, and drink from a sippy cup, now he can give kisses!!! He bestowed the first slobbery open-mouthed one on Daddy's nose, and proceeded to Daddy's forehead. Then he kissed both of Mommy's cheeks, her nose, forehead, and mouth. He also gives great hugs. Every second with him is filled with so much fun and love - parenthood is really incredible.

On the swimming front, we have continued to go at least twice a week and we also went today with Daddy. Walker loved having both of us in the pool with him and he put his face in the water on his own twice. He also went all the way under once, and didn't inhale any water on any of his trips under. Swimming is wonderful exercise for all three of us and it usually exhausts Walker - he has so much fun that he almost always falls asleep in the car on the way home.

Our friend Kelly, whom you may remember from the Halloween post, is scheduled to have Walker's girlfriend on the 27th by C-section. Little Miss Kamper (this is not what they will name her - just her womb name) is a little confused and her head is under Kelly's ribs, so she can't be born the old-fashioned way. We can't wait to meet her and Walker is especially anxious. Please keep Kelly and her husband Patrick in your prayers as they go through the final preparations for the birth of their first-born.

Matt is away on business until Tuesday night, so it's just the two of us. The house is definitely quieter and I already miss him like crazy (he's only been gone an hour and a half). Thankfully I have my little love to keep me company, great friends who will visit, and terrific neighbors in case we need anything at all. Hurry home Daddy!!!!

Yeah - the sippy cup is back!

These are pictures from the second time we gave him a sippy cup of water. Tonight he was able to tilt it up and drink from it on his own (instead of just sucking air from it like he has been). He's learning SO quickly.

Now I know Mommy showed me how last time

Upside down

Almost...

Just need to tip it up.

I GOT IT!

Big Blue Eyes

Hey Daddy!

Not letting his paci get away

Walker loves his paci

...and now he can put it in his mouth when he wants it. What a smart guy :)

Still love the paci

Sitting at the table with Daddy

Walker sat at the table with us for the first time the other day. We just got his booster seat, and even though he isn't eating solid foods yet, it's nice to have the whole family together at the table for supper.

"But why CAN'T I have your food?"

Sitting at the table with Mama

"Fine then, I'll eat my piano"

"Haha - it tastes good!"

Our Little Bach

"I can even play it with my mouth!"

Smiley guy - he really likes sitting at the table!

What a sweetie

Mama teaching Dubya to drink from his sippy cup

We gave Walker his sippy cup with some water in it while he was at the table with us. We figured that he should get something grown up since he's such a big boy that he can sit in his booster seat. He absolutely loves it.

I can do it Mama!!

The Mama Lean

Towards the end of our first meal all together at the table, W started leaning more and more towards Margaret. We called it the "Mama Lean."

My cool ski hat - thanks Calverts!!!
