I think the title is self-explanatory....

We had a terrible storm last night which caused several neighborhoods to lose power. Luckily, we didn't and were able to enjoy TV until 11.

Tonight my father graduated at VCU with his masters in Science and Health Administration. It was a great ceremony and dad looked completely at ease. After graduation my parents treated myself, Margaret, Mema & Papa (dad's parents), Paul (my brother), and Sophie (P's gf). We ate at the Jefferson Hotel in Richmond and needless to say it was the best meal I've had since dining at the Williamsburg Inn Valentines Day last year. I wouldn't trade my family in for anything in the world...I love them dearly.

Here's a great story that I thought I would share. Last year me & Marg traveled to northern VA w/another couple to go see Buffett. The couple we went with had tickets...me & Marg did not. However, we went w/the knowledge of possibly acquiring two tickets from someone my friends knew.

So we get there and we get settled in. Jason & I thought it would be a better idea to let the girls go search for the tickets considering, well...they're girls and it might be easier for them to pursuade someone to sell them tickets (in the event that the "friend" cannot be found). So an hour goes by and the girls return...empty-handed. At this point the show was going to start in about an hour and we still had no tickets.

So Marg & I decide to go travel the parking lot ourselves in search for some tickets. We hadn't been gone for 2 minutes (no lie) when I see Marg bend down to pick something up from off the ground. She raises it up and low and behold it was a friggin ticket!!..laying there, on the ground...unscathed. We start freaking out but in a way that isn't too noticeable. But that's not even the best part. We soon realize that, in fact, the ticket we found was actually TWO tickets attached to each other! At this point I'm telling Margaret "let's get the heck out of here!".

We return to our car where Jason & Carrie were lounging and I played a trick on them by telling them that we weren't going to go looking for no tickets and that we'd just hang out at the car and wait for them after the show. Jason got pretty pissed and called me a couple of crude names telling me that I need to get my a$$ back out there and find some tickets. I sat down...looked over...pulled the tickets out of my front pocket and said, "will these work?".

The show was fantastic...but what lead to the show was even better.

Reagan was a wonderful president and great humanitarian but i wonder - how long can he be shipped around to memorials before he starts to smell? and that's not an unpatriotic question.
